I don't actually use these to fire BBs, I refinish them into props for film/television productions. In that role, this model is nearly perfect. It is the most realistic prop I have worked with at such a bargain price. You can pull back the charging handle even, and small details like the storage port in the rear stock are clearly articulated (although non functional.) The size of the magazine is spot on, which is one of the more common flaws with inexpensive prop guns. And the plastic used has a certain amount of tooth that holds spray paint very well. All in all, an excellent model. I was in the Marine Corps and the M16A2 was my service rifle, and holding this replica takes me right back.ONE NOTE: The weapon you will receive is the one in the photo, which is actually an M16A2. If you want a Vietnam era M16A1, look for the M16A2 offered by the same company. Basically, a small labeling mistake which doesn't at all diminish how well made this prop is.
